After The Rain....

It rained a lot this week, except for today and yesterday. When the sun appears after a period of rain, it brings out all kinds of creatures to the open, only I didn't have much time to go about photographing them. Here is a few shots I did manage get though.

White Fourring, Ypthima ceylonica

three stripped palm squirrel (Funambulus palmarum)

Brown-headed Barbet  (Megalaima zeylanica)

 Pink Skimmer, Orthetrum pruinosum

A Rodent And Some Bugs...............

Hi, Remember the skink inside the compost bin from last post? There was another creature in one of my on-the- ground compost heaps too, a  mouse or a rat, and I don't know what species it is.

This dragon was perched on  a forked stick I have erected to support my Winged bean plants. ID?

The Tropic Dart was on one of my yardlong bean plants.

Tropic Dart(Potanthus confucius)

Well, that was all I managed to bag this week. I know it's not much, but it will have to do. Stay tune, there might be more interesting stuff, with a bit of luck, around next Saturday. So long!

The Dragons of Rockpool......

Dozens of these stunning dragonflies, and some other types as well, is a sure sight at an abandoned granite mine now filled with water, within my birding patch. I think this particular species is Dawn Dropwing, Trithemis aurora, but I'm not entirely sure.

This is a post for Macro Monday.

Name The Bugs.......

I'm throwing in a bunch of insects that I've not been to identify yet for this week's Macro Monday. I hope some of could help me place some of them.
