What The Heck?

Yep, the title of this post shows exactly what I said to my self when I spotted this little weirdo on a blade of grass on the edge of the driveway last Sunday. It was a  surprisingly bold creature, not skittish as most of the arthropods I've tried to photograph, but was all hell-bent on not letting me take a descent enough still macro. It was quite a leaper, could launch itself from one spot to another about six inches away.

Please take a look in to the video and let me know what in the animal kingdom this critter is. May be don't tell me, it's more fun pretending this is the extra terrestrial that I've always wanted to see before I die.
